The original Alabama Grill
opened in Greenville, Alabama in 1947 by Mack Liveakos, born in 1890 in Nafplion, Greece. He sold the establishment in 1960 to Mr. James Arthur, where it remained in his possession for the next 41 years until it was closed in 2001. The Alabama Grill
is a Greenville institution; many of Greenville's citizens have memories of the Alabama Grill
, and we hope to honor those memories by once again opening this iconic landmark to its customers.
The Alabama Grill
will offer fresh and healthy food choices sourced in the local and state area as often as possible. Greenville is located in the heart of the state’s agricultural industry and offers its own Farmer’s Market exchange - many seasonal menu items will be guided by local availability. The Alabama Grill
will be positioned to offer the freshest meats and produce to its customers.
